TV News Video Reports
This is a new feature of our site. It shares many of the TV interviews and reports that highlight and alert the public about how to maintain safety when around the water.
The Water Safety Council of Fresno County is reaching out to drowning prevention advocates and safety groups throughout California. We have been in discussions and workshops to design a coalition of experts and passionate people to share information with our Fresno County community. We have added many links too with mockups that will focus on those areas of water safety that cover most areas of risk. Next year we will see a continuing expansion of information that we will mirror on this website. At the same time the US Water Safety Action Plan will be released which will bring studied tools and recommendations that our Council will utilize. More information will be forthcoming as we move into 2022.

2. Always keep children in your direct line-of-sight – always.
3. Always wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device when on a boat, near open bodies of water or when participating in water sports. Air-filled swimming aids, such as “water wings” are not considered safety devices and are not substitutes for US Coast Guard Approved personal flotation devices.
